Le Bistro Vert

Last week, hubby, Miguel and I got lost looking for this posh restaurant in Makati. Alas! We found Le Bistro Vert nestled in a building somewhere along Valero street. Parking was a bit hard so we ended up 30 minutes late for our meeting.

We got to try several dishes. I tried out the pizza and a breakfast meal (tapa) and sampled Jay's salmon dish. The pizza was interesting. Tapsilog was the usual one (but I liked their vinegar). The salmon dish was just so-so. Food wasn't really spectacular and their prices were overrated. The others said though that the desserts were good.

Price Range: at least PhP500 per person

Must try: pizza

Lakwatsera's Rating: I'd rather go somewhere else for the amount I spent there.

Cucina Reposo

My cousins opened their restaurant a few months ago and I finally got the chance to visit a few weeks ago together with my parents, Tita, hubby and son. We weren't able to hang-out though so we took out a couple of barbecues and hotdogs. They were really yummy!

Price Range: PhP100 will go a long way

Must try: barbecue!

Great for: all-nighter hang-out

Lakwatsera's Rating: biased, my cousins own the place!

Kitchen

My friend Maila was the one who brought me to try out Kitchen at Greenbelt. I told her that I have not explored Greenbelt for awhile now and dining at Kitchen was definitely a pleasant surprise.

The interiors remind me of "kitchen dining" (well yeah of course) and I felt like I was eating in a posh cafeteria.

The condiments were placed in a box. I noticed at first that the placemats were far apart from each other and only realized why when Maila's food was served (their plates were HUGE!).

I wanted to eat pasta with red sauce and the waiter suggested I order the one with tapa in it. I didn't really know what to expect. This dish was so yummy I cleaned out the bowl.

Sweetie also ate the same thing, Maila had the tuna belly (served on a gigantic plate) and Bong had something that had spicy.

Hope to come back soon!
