I love going to the spa and have tried out
different spas across the country (Cebu, Davao, Kalibo, Boracay, and Cagayan de Oro) and I loved `em. Unfortunately I'm based in Manila and my favorite spa closed a few years ago and I could not find a replacement. I recently even tried the phone-a-massage, but ended up feeling bruised and beaten rather than relaxed. I think the masseuse thought I was a bread being kneaded and she just had to spill her life story when I finally felt a little relaxed. So, I've yet to find a new
favorite spa.
I saw
Janette's plurk about the "
first spa movie theater in the world" and got curious, so I checked out the post and found out the unique offering of
Blue Water Day Spa, where you can watch a movie while having some spa service! I think this is a cool idea since I usually want to do something else while watching a movie (multi-tasking!). I'm also hard-pressed for time and watching a movie while having a foot massage would be totally awesome.
My siblings are abroad so I don't get to see them often. This Christmas would be one of the rare times that we would be complete and if I had the budget I think it would be great to bring everyone together and probably show a home-made family movie while having a foot/hand massage. Why a family movie? My nephews and nieces grew up in different continents and it would great to show them family photos/videos so they can see their roots. We also usually do affirmation as a family during our gatherings and a relaxed atmosphere would bode well for this kind of activity. Who knows it may be my
despidida de soltera too?
